Disposing of e-cigarettes correctly

E-cigarettes are electrical and electronic devices and also contain batteries such as lithium accumulators. They contain both valuable raw materials, for example in the microprocessors, and harmful substances. Therefore, they do not belong in household waste. To ensure that the raw materials are recovered and no harmful substances can enter the environment, it is necessary to collect and treat old e-cigarettes – like other waste electrical and electronic equipment – separately from other unsorted waste.
